One of the biggest challenges of the Indian economy is to make the workforce skilled and future-ready. The market is becoming dynamic day-by-day and it is time for organisations, government, and academia to not only map the skills required in future but also to create infrastructural support that would help in skill-building. Kirti Seth, (Interim) CEO, NASSCOM believes that we need to emphasize getting more respect for skilling for it to grow. She explained, “We need to create avenues for the linkage of skills and outcome. If a person with skills can work at par with the person who has a degree, then we will be able to drive the skilling narrative as a group.”
