The demand & supply gap for Digital Tech Talent is expected to increase over 3.5 times by 2026. The next 25 years will be a watershed for India to emerge as an economic and technological powerhouse of the world. All signs indicate that this decade will be India’s ‘techade’, one that would be remembered for a long time to come.
Talent determines the competitive advantage of nations in this digital world. India, with its young, diverse and digitally skilled pool of talent, can be the key to the world’s innovation and growth. To address this challenge of digital skilling at scale, the government and the industry launched FutureSkills Prime for Indian citizens.
Government of India Incentive Program
Learners have a career-defining opportunity with the Government of India introducing the first-of-its-kind incentive program, FutureSkills Prime. Indian learners can skill / upskill in digital technology, earn certifications and get cashback up to Rs.14,500. This makes digital skilling affordable for all, enabling citizens to learn and advance their careers.
Scheme Implementation
The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister had approved the proposal of the Department of Commerce to give focussed attention to twelve identified Champion Services Sectors for promoting their development and realising their potential. IT and ITeS Services is one of the identified champion service sectors under the umbrella scheme titled Champion Service Sector scheme ('CSSS’).
This scheme is proposed to be implemented as a new Central Sector Scheme under the CSSS by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (Meity) being the Nodal Ministry for IT-ITES Services. The scheme would be jointly implemented by Meity and NASSCOM.

What Can You Learn?
Foundation Course
The FutureSkills Foundation Courses are designed to provide a solid foundation of key technology concepts. The courses introduce important terminology, tools, datasets, functional knowledge, and real-world applications. They also include ample opportunity for hands-on practice. The courses are aligned to the curricula defined by IT- ITeS SSC in collaboration with the Industry.
Bridge Course
The bridge courses offered in blended mode by CDAC/NIELT provide learners with a fundamental understanding of various tools, programming platforms, hardware, and other elements that are essential for the respective future technology. These courses also cover application-specific career opportunities that will be available in the respective future technology.
Collaborative Deep Skilling
Deep skilling and competency-based courses improve your employability skills in emerging technologies. These courses will teach you both the theory and practical applications through hands-on experience. They are mapped to the standards set by both the government and industry-recommended practices.
Training of Government Officials (B2G)
It is essential for the Central / State Government, PSUs, and autonomous organisations involved in IT/ITeS to stay updated with digital technologies and train their internal technical workforce. NIELIT/ CDAC undertakes pan-India training of government officials by introducing them to new capabilities, platforms, services and tools.
Training of Trainers
The CDAC/NIELIT resource centres and SSC NASSCOM train faculty members across the country in order to provide uniform training and technical exposure to all Trainers who are part of this initiative.
