Curriculum:
This 100 Hrs duration course consists of 4 Modules which include theoretical and practical sessions with assignments. The course provides a comprehensive introduction to the world of video game development with a focus on Unity Editor and creating immersive experiences using virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies. Students will learn about game development, including game objects, models, textures, lighting, collisions, animation, and sound. Additionally, they will explore the concepts of VR development, AR applications and mixed reality (MR).
Module 1:
Basic Fundamentals of Video Games, this module serves as an introduction to video games and Unity Editor, providing a solid foundation in game development fundamentals. Students will learn about game objects, models, materials, textures, 3D terrain, lights, cameras, collision detection, prefabs, 2D game tools, and user interfaces.
Module 2:
Creating professional video games, this module focuses on advanced game development concepts, including particle systems, animations, audio integration, scripting, game revisions, polish, and deployment. Additionally, it covers game console platforms, mobile development, and the process of publishing games.
Module 3:
Getting started with Virtual Reality, this module provides an introduction to Virtual Reality (VR), exploring its applications and various VR platforms such as Meta Quest (Oculus) and HTC Vive. Students will learn about VR optimization techniques, basic VR concepts, sound design in VR applications, interaction methods in VR, user interfaces specific to VR, and creating a VR architecture walkthrough.
Module 4:
Professional Application Development of AR MR, this module introduces Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (MR) technologies, focusing on the fundamentals of AR development using Vuforia AR Engine, creating marker-based and markerless AR applications, ground plane AR applications, web AR development, and exploring Mixed Reality concepts.
